You have the only chance to succeed with a resume at the moment when it is read for the first time. As a rule, it takes no more than 2-3 minutes to view a resume. If it was not possible to attract attention, it means that the resume did not work.
When writing a resume, follow the principle of selectivity. Information for the summary should be selected based on its objectives. In other words, the summary should include a description of exactly those aspects of your experience that are relevant to the position you are applying for. For example, if you were engaged in scientific work and at the same time consulting, in a resume aimed at obtaining a job in the field of commerce, it is not necessary to describe your scientific achievements and list your scientific works, it is better to list the specific skills and knowledge that you received during the consulting activity.
A successful resume may be an occasion for an interview, that is, a personal meeting with the employer or his representative, but does not yet guarantee to get a job. Your goal is to make the reader want to meet you in person.
What to write about
Consider a standard resume example, which columns must be filled.
Personal data: name, date of birth, contact information (phone numbers, email address). You can also specify the marital status, the nearest metro station.
Purpose: In this paragraph, the position for which you are applying is usually formulated. It is not necessary to indicate several posts belonging to different fields of activity.
Education: Indicates basic education and additional (courses, internships, training, seminars, etc.). In both cases, it is necessary to indicate the years of study, the name of the educational institution, the faculty, the specialty (if we are talking about courses, then the specialization or the name of the course is indicated).
Work Experience: This section provides information about your work experience. For an employer of a recruitment agency, it is more convenient if they are arranged in reverse chronological order.
